Fay Chapman Woodall
Mrs. Fay Chapman Woodall, 82 of La Crosse, died Monday, March 5, 2018 at VCU-Community Memorial Hospital. She was a retired Mecklenburg County Public Schools Bus Driver and the widow of John Ralph Woodall.

She is survived by two sons Willis A. Woodall (Barbara) and Charles R. Woodall both of La Crosse and her adopted family at Hope House and the John H. Northington Center; two sisters Amy Chapman of South Hill and Janice (Harrison) Skipwith of Crewe; two grandsons Thomas (Amelia) Woodall of Green Bay and Clay Woodall of La Crosse; two great grandchildren Eliza and Silas Woodall of Green Bay; a sister-in-law Carol Ann Chapman of South Hill, several nieces and nephews and was predeceased by a brother Larry Chapman.

A funeral service was conducted at 2:00 P. M. Saturday at Sardis United Methodist Church with Visitation starting at 1:00 P. M. at the Church.

George Lovic Evans (Dick)

Mr. George Lovic “Dick” Evans, Jr. passed away April 15, 2018 with his family by his side. Born in LaCrosse, VA on Dec. 29, 1935, he was the son of the late George Lovic Evans and Ruby Taylor Evans. He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Price Evans, the love of his life.

Dick graduated from Smithdeal Massey Business College in Richmond with a degree in business. He was a retired tobacco farmer and worked as an accountant for Exchange Warehouse in South Hill, of which he later became a part owner. He was a lifelong member of Sardis Methodist Church and also belonged to the Masonic Lodge #297.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Cynthia Evans (Denis Medlin ) of LaCrosse; his son, George Lovic Evans, III ( Sherry ) of Richmond; the granddaughter he adored, Gabrielle Lovic Evans; a cousin, Becky Semple, who was the sister he never had, and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were conducted at 1pm, Saturday April 21, 2018 at Farrar Funeral Chapel with interment to follow in LaCrosse Cemetery.  The family received friends Friday evening from 5:30 – 7:00 at the funeral home.
